The International School
of Hospitality is dedicated to training individuals
for careers in hospitality related industries. The concept
on which the School was founded is based on a strong
belief that education must be practical and current.
Practical means that the end result should be the achievement
of knowledge and thus the ability to further a student’s
chosen career. With this in mind, all the offerings
of the School are career focused and tie back whenever
possible to the application of knowledge.
Practical also means delivering cutting edge techniques
and knowledge to students. The School’s instructors
are all carefully selected not just based on their ability
to teach but also on their credentials and involvement
in the industry. The instructors are therefore able
to teach required skills, discuss their applications
and also impart a true sense of the business allowing
students to develop a true understanding of the industry.
To the School, practicality in education means that
students must be able to apply what they have learned.
An internship is a requirement towards graduation in
most curriculums. Through the internship, students are
given an opportunity to review what they learned and
to see how the knowledge actually plays out in industry.
An internship also allows a student to develop an industry
contact for networking purposes.
The International School of Hospitality approaches learning
in a different way than most colleges and universities,
in that it places a greater emphasis on practical learning.
A high priority is placed on helping students achieve
their goals in the most efficient and effective manner
possible.
