Nevada: Any person working in an establishment as a server, seller, bartender, security guard, cashier or manager must receive alcohol awareness training. This law is applicable in Clark and Washoe Counties including the Las Vegas metropolitan area.  

THE COURSE

Offered online, this award winning workshop is the CARE® program offered by the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute. The program has already trained more than 130,000 people around the country. Whether you work in a restaurant, bar, hotel, club, stores, or casino, CARE® prepares you to handle the challenges of balancing guest service with the legal responsibilities involved in serving alcohol. Participants learn how to effectively monitor and control guests' alcohol consumption, tactfully intervene before problems arise, carry out ID-checking policies, and handle minors according to your property's policies. 

For employers, your employees completing this program successfully may reduce liability risks and help lower insurance rates.

For employees, you may be required to take an alcohol beverage awareness program. Check with your employer. Alternatively, take the class to enrich yourself and build your resume.

Successful completion of the program will lead to a Card offered jointly by AHLEI & TISOH, certified by the state of Nevada.
