Executive Diploma in Hospitality Operations: Emphasis in Wedding Coordination & Design

The Executive Diploma is awarded to demonstrate a broad spectrum of knowledge in the key areas of hospitality management. Participants gain knowledge in wedding coordination & design, in-depth knowledge on managing food & beverage (the reception generally accounts for 40% of a couple’s budget), followed by management courses in HR and leadership and supervision. Whether one’s ultimate career is as an independent planner or for a larger entity, the ability to manage staff is a key to success.

High school diploma or GED minimum

Requirements:

To receive an Executive Diploma in Hospitality Operations students must complete and pass a series of four courses in the curriculum, totaling 32.5 quarter credits, 31.5 CEU

Wedding Coordination & Design
90 clock hours, 10 quarter credits, 9.0 CEU

Art of Food & Beverage
45 clock hours, 4.5 quarter credits, 4.5 CEU
OR
Meeting & Event Catering
45 clock hours, 4.5 quarter credits, 4.5 CEU

Hospitality Leadership & Supervision
90 clock hours, 9 quarter credits, 9.0 CEU
+
Hospitality Human Resources
90 clock hours, 9 quarter credits, 9.0 CEU

NOTE: Executive Diploma applicants enroll for the program by indicating the semester they wish to begin their studies. Upon enrollment, a counselor will be in touch to create a customized schedule. All courses are available in class as well as online. Students may mix and match to fit their needs. Normal length for completion is approx. 4 months.
